Yom Sheni (יום שני) Renamed to Monday

March 16, 2024 by Mychael John

Yom Sheni (יום שני) Is the second day of the week. It was renamed to Monday. Monday literally means "moon's day" or day to worship the Moon. It starts at Sunset on Monday and ends at sunset.

The Lord Warns his people about  worshiping the Stars and the Sun

Deut. 4:15-19. 15 Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for you saw no manner of similitude on the day that the LORD spoke unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:

16 Lest you corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,

17 The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flies in the air,

18 The likeness of any thing that creeps on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth: And lest you lift up your eyes unto heaven, and when you see the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, should be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.

We reverence the Lord use the names of the days of the week as he teaches us.

We call this day Yom Sheni (יום שני) This is when we have, Our New Members classes starts at 7:00 pm
